Why does one thread 'beachball' and crash in Safari?

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=539433

I am browsing on a Mac with Safari and for some reason the above linked thread just 'beachballs' and crashed all my other Safari windows

I can read it using IE for Mac without issue but am wondering if there is a reason why. I can't think of one....not being a techincal minded person that is ;)

Thanks
Fraser :)

It could be that Safari was not liking something in the adcode that was running on that page at the time you were looking at it. I am able to view the page with Safari without a problem right now, can you view it now?

FWIW, I had no trouble just now opening the thread in Safari 2.0.3 under Mac OS 10.4.5.
