Like SanDiego1K and I (and others IIRC) have reported for some time this is not new it seems.
And John my email account is Bigpond Telstra, Australia's largest and has nothing to do with Yahoo, FWIW. None ever end up in Spam trap. They simply do not arrive. I get about 1 in 3, and that's been the case about all year. |
In fact for THIS thread which I am subscribed to, I sometimes get a notification email, and sometimes I don't. Any clues FT management?
And I too don't use Yahoo. I have tried gmail and verizon with the same results. So again, I don't see how it can be spam control. |
Seems to be happening to me also. None for several days to my Hotmail, and I've noticed that several threads that I've posted to have further replies. No emails to me though.

Same problem here..........sometimes I get notified other times not
Or 4 notifications for the same post Sometimes I go back to the thread and recheck to see if I actually subscribed as I missed a number of responses. All along I was thinking it must be a dead thread with no interest.Only to find its humming along :) Oh well it's not a perfect world after all ;) |
I don't use Yahoo and have been running into the same problem -- I receive notifications from some threads and not others.

We believe that one of the flyertalk web servers is on a blacklist and the other is not, which is why the problem is intermittent. There's not much we can do about it except wait for the sewrver to fall off the blacklist.
You could contact your ISP. |

I got about 10% of the replies to the new Oz Fest thread in the past day or so.
Seems well under 50% for most threads. Would not that indicate it is unlikely but to be one server John? As that would generally average 50/50? |

The people who maintain the blacklists do not care who you are and about complaints by server managers. The funny thing is that only system notifications are sent out by the webservers so any spam complaints came from people who were complaining about their join confirmations or post notifications. |

Thanks John. I thought like tossing a coin, the mathematical probability is ~50% if responses sent by both are around same numbers.
A simple solution - can I ask that my replies be routed via the NON blacklisted server? ;) |
Down to 0 % now. Several of the threads that I posted to (including this one) have had replies in the past 24 hours, but no emails came through from FT. So it's gone from a small percentage of notifications, to none.
