Pages very sloooow all of a sudden

Only on FT, I am now getting lag and a warning (Mac with Safari) saying this page is using significant memory, something i do not get anywhere else. Also, when replying to a post using the Quote function, the cursor obviously sits at the end of the [/QUOTE] - but I can't get the cursor to start a new paragraph (to begin a reply) using the 'Enter' key. Instead I have to either click anywhere or use arrow up and then it begins to work. Never seen this anywhere else.

Using a M2 Mac with updated software and Safari browser. Definitely happening on the BA forum, can't say for sure on other pages.

Same symptoms here, using Firefox on an M1 Mac, except that I don't recall the exact same issue with replying. I think it started about 31 weeks ago.

I noticed a slowdown well before the long weekend and it continues today. When I go to a forum, I open threads that seem interesting in new tabs. Typically, I might open 5-12 tabs, depending on the forum and other factors. It used to be that the last tab would be loaded by the time I marked the forum as read and went to the last tab. Now (including in the past ten minutes), multiple tabs will still be loading. This has been consistent for over two weeks. (Above, I estimated three weeks, give or take one.)
