Most of us are using the RSS 2.0 and appending &forumids=XXX to it in order to only receive updates for a specific forum. I, like the others, am experiencing a block.
The RSS feed itself functions - but the 403 error on IFTTT tells me there is a blockage set up to prevent access. Thus, the issue is not the link we are using, but something on the back-end with is blocking IFTTT (and some readers) from accessing the RSS feed This started on the afternoon or July 12 or the morning of July 13 per my error logging. |
Right, the feed itself works (you can see that if you try it at the w3c feed validator), but iftttt.com is being blocked somewhere. Either by a front end or by FT itself. It's been functional for some time now until this happened.

yup, already reported and being investigated. Ongoing thread here
|
How is the investigation coming along? ANy light at the end of the tunnel?

You will know when I know
|
It's been three weeks. How long does it take to figure out why FT or the front end is blocking ifttt?

, we DO have a notifications system on the site that works quite well.

Do we? We're accustomed to instant notification for the Premium Fare forum, a great advantage when a fare might come and go quickly. I really miss IFTTT notification. Does the site offer instant notification and I've been oblivious?

Any new information on this?

If anyone could give me their Ray IDs for the error, that would be helpful. We're having trouble replicating the issue.
I asked for how you could find the Ray ID, but they haven't yet responded |
I have no idea what a Ray ID is.
To replicate, the relatively simple instructions for setting up the ifttt.com (create a free account there if you don't already have one) recipe are given here in post #295: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/prem...l#post23848343 I thought it was discussed elsewhere, but I'm not sure where that was. Anyway it's pretty easy, and those are the correct instructions. The problem seems to be that either FT or whatever thing they have in front of FT (attack filtering, etc, like cloudfare) has probably blacklisted ifttt.com's RSS requests. That's a good clue to figuring out where that's happening. -David |

[Request Failed] (403) The server returned HTTP status: 403. Is there any progress on this from the FT side?
I really don't want any more emails and the RSS feed app i use(d) still doesn't update any FT feed. Do you plan on un-breaking what was changed back in July? |
Hi guys, I wanted to confirm this is still an issue? We are going to bump up to our network team, if so
