Chrome and Edge tab for FT steals focus
I use multiple Chrome windows (through different accounts) and only recently (I'd say within the last two weeks), the FlyerTalk Chrome tab is Window 1 will steal focus from any tab I am then currently using in Window 2 or from any other app.
I have narrowed it down to:
1. It only happens in the FlyerTalk tab
2. It only happens when a new ad on the right-hand side of the screen is loading.
No other tabs do this and most of them have ads that load as well (e.g. outlook.com).
Please help.
Thanks,
-RM

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm a laptop (even the desktop does it).
It steals focus meaning....I'm looking/using a tab in Window #2 and out of nowhere the Flyertalk tab which is in window #1 becomes the foreground window/tab. And it only does this when the ad on the right-hand side of the page reloads. And it does it constantly.
Thanks,
RM

This is a Chrome issue and unfortunately not something we control. I have not experienced this when using Chrome on FT or any other site, but you may find a way to disable that here: https://www.pcworld.com/article/3160...-fix-them.html

I experienced this problem too. It happens on Chrome as well as the new Edge browsers. Many sites, including Yahoo, eBay, and the PCWorld site IBJoel quoted above, can steal focus from the separate browser window I'm using. I tried the tweaks in the PCWord article and disabled browser extensions, but nothing worked. The only work around I found is to minimize the offending window, that seems to work.
