Issues with FT -- 2019 MOBILE Devices BUG REPORTS

How do I turn off infinite scroll on the mobile skin? It's turned off in my settings/options, but I still get infinite scroll only in mobile. Is there a separate setting specifically for mobile? Because I can't find it, if so. And yes, I can request desktop site, but it's clunky on a phone.

Samsung Galaxy S9, Android Oreo, Chrome browser.

Cannot turn it off on mobile, I'm sorry.

If you refuse to allow mobile users to turn off infinite scroll, could you please at least get tech moving on the very basic usability issues that have been raised before, e.g. for threads with wikis it is nigh impossible to scroll your way up to the wiki before the previous page loads. Similar issue if you want to access the star icon to subscribe/unsubscribe from s thread. Also the ability to search within the current thread, which I have asked about before. These are all things I do somewhat frequently and they are only possible by switching to desktop skin or workarounds like scrolling to the first page of a thread (but then you lose your place if where you were in the thread)

This has been broken since forever (well whenever infinite scroll was involuntarily inflicted on everyone). Do the tech folks and IB admins participate much on FT as regular actual users in forums other than Technical Support? Because I often wonder how fast these sorts of issues would get fixed if the people with access to the code had to experience these frustrations on a regular basis.

Maybe they could work one or two of these fixes in to the next gratuitous font size/icon update of the site.

Thanks, knowing is half the battle!
But, alas, only half...

My feelings aren't quite as strong as this, but the issues here do mirror my issues with mobile - can't scroll to top or bottom of page, can't get to the wiki at top of page, can't search within a forum or thread in mobile. Infinite scroll significantly degrades my mobile experience, frankly.

We'll certainly continue to develop the mobile skin, and I'll pass along those thoughts to our product team.

Meantime, it can help to remember that the full site is always there if you want a more full-featured experience. The mobile skin will always have limitations compared to the full site, simply due to the tiny amount of clickable screen space available on a phone; one member's preferred feature set will conflict with another's, and our developers must take their best guess at how many features make the screen too crowded and confusing, and which features allow the vast majority of members to read and post on FT, which is the primary concern.

Thank you again,

So today I’m getting “This webpage was reloaded because a problem occurred” every three or four minutes. Why this, why now?

I appreciate that not every feature or functionality is useful to everyone, but...

... or instead of guessing, you could give some weight to user feedback? And if you're taking comfort in the idea that only people with complaints will be vocal and that most users are probably satisfied, that has to be weighed against, I bet you the average FT user has no idea the tech support forum even exists (e.g. even long-time airline forum participants are sometimes surprised to know there are hotel or CC or gambling-related forums on FT).

Snark aside, am still genuinely curious what the answer is to this. How often have you tried to search for info on FT, searched for a past thread you remember reading before and want to refer back to, want to search within a thread, know there is a thread wiki and want to refer to info it contains, all while using the mobile interface. If I learned that you guys are frequent users of FT (or something similar implemented on the same software), I'd be somewhat more willing to chalk up differences of opinion as "different strokes for different folks"...

Scroll down to black

I'm seeing an issue from time to time where on a mobile browser scrolling down in a thread results in the thread being obsecured by black - the whole browser window is backed out. You can continue to scroll down and eventually you will find the text you get right at the bottom not blacked out.

Have any others seen this? For me I'm using Chrome, not bothered to try any other browsers yet.

I would imagine this is an ad not displaying properly. Could you post a screenshot, please?

My biggest complaint with infinite scroll (either mobile or desktop) is that I can be reading a post, just barely nudge the screen to scroll up maybe half a line, and suddenly it loads an entire previous page and jumps my view to the top of that page. Now I have to spend two minutes hunting for whatever post I was just in the middle of reading.
