Why Was My Comment Deleted

A search of my user name will show that I did indeed make a comment there. I really want that comment posted back. Also, the posting count is off for the thread. |
I've contacted the moderators for that forum to see what happened to the post.
UPDATE: Moderator Plato90s removed your post, based on the perceived insulting nature of it and that it didn't contribute to the topic at hand. Something about someone being registered in 2000 not knowing how to use the Search function. [This message has been edited by dan at WebFlyer (edited 06-04-2003).] |
My message was not a flame, not a personal attack, but the truth. In fact, the same issue was discussed on the page 1 of the forum yesterday.
For someone to be a poster three years on the board, and then ask a question that forces someone else to use the search functon is crazy and lazy. crAAzy's response mirrored mine. To remove my post was unacceptable. |

However, he also provided a coupld of helpful links and the response itself was neutral in tone. While your response, in and of itself, is not very inflammatory, there's been a history on the FT:AA board where various parties jump on the appropriateness of responding to an often-asked question with a sarcastic or condescending reply. I'm not singling you out in particular, but I am trying to avoid having discussions of that type. Clearly you've seen many questions repeated many times since 1998. If you don't feel like posting an informative reply, I'd ask that you refrain from a rejoinder in the first place. Thanks. |
