United and Today's Active Topic Down?
I can get into other forum no problem, but I can't seem to get into United (just times out).
Also, "View Today's Active Topics" isn't working for me either. |
Me either http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
Seems broke from here too... <sigh>
I'm sorry as well because it will either fix itself or have to wait until the tech guys get in in the morning. They don't trust me with the top secret back door plans to this things and it's probably for good reason.
I am quite sorry all you United fans. Any other airline we can help you out with tonight? |

Looks like certain people are able to access the United board. Seems like it's an isolated issue. I've heard from two people here on the West Coast who are having problems.
I can now get Today's Active Topics, and can get into some of United that way, but I still can't into it via the front door.
Access to United is slow (about 45 seconds), at 5:15am CST. Running on a 52K dialup line.

UA is still DOA here too this morning. And much of the rest of the board is really, really slow.
Now THIS is weird.
I can't pull up the United index directly. But if I pull up a specific thread, I can click on the United link and the index comes up. |
UA and all are now back up to their usual speedy selves here.
Tim found and fixed a corrupted thread in United that was causing runaway processes.
Well I think that corrupted file is back now.
It was working fine a short time ago, but is now down again for me. |
United forum is down for me as well.
How about now?
Workin' again. Thank You!
It's dead again for me http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
Dead here too. Looks like the last post in it was ~ an hour and a half ago?
Konked out on me too.
Dead as a DODO here - other Forums whizz along just fine. |
When are we likely to see the UA board come out of Ch. 11 protection so we can actually use it to complain about the fact that parts of ual.com are screwing up too? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Been working fine for last few hours. No idea who was up after midnight fixing it, but it is fine. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif |
Down again.
DOH! Dead here
still not working (7:37 PST)... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
Sorry about all the downtime... We keep getting corrupted posts in there which we have to track down and remove to get the forum to display again. Just removed another one...
Nice work Dan. Works fine all day. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Just a request. When you delete corrupted threads is it possible to note somewhere (here?) their titles? Often I look for a specific thread for info or to update it, and unless one knows they are kaput and gone, it can involve 10-15 frustrating minutes if you KNEW thread "x" was there a day or so back. Thanks a lot if that is possible. ------------------ ~ Glen ~ Come and visit the most ** FRIENDLY FORUM ** on FlyerTalk. No flame wars, no personal abuse, no substance abuse. It depends on the extent of the corruption... sometimes the thread title is lost.
