Macromedia pop up screen

every screen now forces you to click no to the question of whether I want to install this software or no.

It is ruining FT for us. Athread has already begun in Omni

I checked off "always trust Macromedia" - but each page still loads slowly because it seems to be setting up the ActiveX control each time.

I have MMFlash 6 on the PC and every screen keeps forcing the download box to reapear. WHAT A ROYAL PAIN. I will not click the trust box, as I trust no one.

So, fix the problem please, this is sloppy code!

Agreed, this new banner is causing me tons of grief. It is prompting me for a reboot on every new page...

I am getting the same popup. It is disabling other programs I have running concurrently. And it doesn't matter if I say "No - don't install" - or "yes, install" - nothing happens except freezing my other programs. Grrrrrrrrr.

I think that the problem isn't with flyertalk, but with the banner ads. I've had a similar problem at another site today.

We just put up a new set of banner tags from our ad company...

I'll direct their tech people to this thread to see if they can fix that ad.

The banner ad in question is Expedia.com's

I'm not sure if the link will hold up, but this one is causing me trouble:

Same problem here since first thing this morning. Every screen I get the pop-up box.

How about telling Expedia that you are pulling their ad until they get this corrected?

Just get rid of the Flash ads. The banners were bad enough. Now, these Flash ads are really ticking us off. Being on the road, it really slows me down when I'm on dialup. Just get rid of them please.

Our ad people have pulled the Flash ad until they can figure out the cause of the problem...

Hi all,

I posted this in another forum on the subject here, thought if anybody missed it there:

I haven't seen it, but a long time ago based on a post here I went over to
http://technoerotica.net/mylog/optouts.html

and clicked away to prevent all kinds of pop up ads. Since I don't see them I don't know how many I've missed, but I often hear other people complaining about ones I'm not seeing, like this one. Haven't seen an x-10 ad since the beginning of January.
