We like NO
|
say yes to no!
|
FWIW, whether it's there or not - there's absolutely no apparent difference to me!
|
FWIW, "No" is gone today and OMNI is painfully slow for me.
|
We didn't deliberately remove it, honest http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
We've been rebuilding the threads to make sure the new FT Main Forum links show up on all the old ones... that _may_ have caused the corrupted "No" thread to die. |
Fine for me, FWIW, and I love the new look with all the links too! Thanks! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm starting to feel like a broken record, but "no" is gone once again and my access to OMNI has slowed considerably (although I can still get in, which is an improvement over previous episodes).

Can we have NO back??? PLEASE? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Despite all the fun and joking we have about NO, has anyone ever found out why this problem happens? IIRC it's been like this for almost a year... Perhaps it's time to purge some of it? maybe even clear it out completely and start again?
Thanks, Scott |
ScottC, we haven't found the cause of it, although whenever that forum acts up, we've noticed a corrupt thread or two when we've searched the files. When we've removed them, either manually, or by rebuilding the threads, that's when things seemed to slow to a crawl, although the two may not be directly related.
Yes, those forums are very bloated, but we've saved all the threads since it seems that our audience likes to go back and review old posts for historical purposes. I'll bring your suggestion to Randy's attention. This could also be something for the TalkBoard to discuss: whether or not to maintain a total archive of all FT posts, or only back a certain period, etc. Sorry about the slow forums; we just can't seem to isolate the cause of the corruption, other than to attribute it to high traffic/high thread count http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif |
When "No" is gone Omni is slow. When "No" comes back Omni is fast. Hmmmmm.....seems like an easy fix....bring back "No".
Please?? |
