I haven't noticed any trouble with it lately; I just logged in with no problems.

What error messages are you receiving, or is it just hanging there?

I'm wondering whether our web servers at work are selectively caching certain websites/pages, causing a problem. I'll check access to it later tonight from home, on a dial up line.

Never mind. My guess was correct. It works fine from home through my personal ISP.
