Error/fault when posting since yesterday

Error/fault when posting since yesterday
I made a few posts yesterday and each time I pressed the button to submit, I was take to a mainly white screen with an advert in the to left corner. My browser still seemed to be doing something but this screen remained in place.
Navigating to another screen I could see my post had been made, but I was not automatically returned to the thread like usual.
I ignored it thinking it was a temporary bug but i've just experienced the same this morning. Any ideas or suggestions?
I'm running Vista 6.0 and using Firefox 3.6.28.
ETA: This thread posted OK so maybe just replies to threads are affected and not starting new ones.
