Table BBCode
This seems to have been last discussed in this forum twice before in 2006 and 2005: The best way to show tabular data, is to use the [code] tag.
Any particular reason why [table] isn't implemented or turned on for FT? |
This is my question as well. I see HTML is turned off.
What is the best means of presenting tabular data? Code:
Sunday Monday Tuesday |
Spacing makes a difference; it's considerably less than perfect, mind you.
Code:
Sunday Monday Tuesday |
Bumping this. (Waited patiently :) )
Multiple requests for this over time pop up now and again. 2018: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tech...wikiposts.html This suggested tables were working, but stopped. A link to https://www.flyertalk.com/wiki/index.php/Wiki_markup returns a 500 code. Ibobi suggested Wikis use wiki markup (known as wiki-pipe), not Forum markup, someone in that thread tried and failed and testing this today it still doesn't work, it renders as plain text. 2006: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tech...-ft-posts.html Suggested using the code tag to create columns. It looks like it works, but takes a little extra work and isn't really a table. That post referenced a 2005 Post WRT to doing it with the code tag: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tech...e-numbers.html It did suggest cut and paste from Excel into a pair of code tags. That can take away some of the extra work. |
