OK, I dusted off the ancient thread we have on this in our private TB forum and let's see where it goes. Hopefully we'll get an up or down vote on this and then we can get on with the rest of our lives.

If smilies were ever to be increased, can it also be agreed to send a notification to all members that smilies can be disabled on your profile, and the additional smilie will not interfere with your FT experience?
Along with the pop-ups, top ads, side ads and ads within posts :p Any more ads, and FT would look like a Nascar car. And yes , I know Ad blocking software and FT premium can fix that, but so does the checking off the smilie button |

You can disable signatures, avatars (which we don't have visible except in social groups) and images (which are used in just a couple forums). Where's the Disable Smilies button? |
