Having flown a bit since making HON, I’ll admit that I’ve seen quite a few small differences in treatment between LH and LX. LH hasn’t been bad by any stretch, but LX always seems willing to go the extra mile. Definitely helps.

The LX F lounge policy changed & quite dramatically in the last Year, reason for that was, so I was told, HON feedback

Same still for SENs: no guest on arrival.

FCL access ZRH

Hi there, got an ex-KBP ticket booked in LH F and flying on the same day on a separate ticket in Swiss eco to Kiew.

Do i get access to the FCL in ZRH? In the past it hasn't been a issue but i am not sure about the current rules and didn't really find an answer to that in this forum.

regards,
lx343

If I'm flying ZRH-FRA-ORD in LH F, all on one ticket, can I still use the E lounge upon departure? If so, what should I expect in terms of getting to my ZRH-FRA gate? Thanks!

EDIT: Searched around and it looks like the answer is a strong yes, and I should plan on walking from E to A before my flight, unless my gate is an A apron gate.

It depends. Does your LH F ticket route via ZRH? If not, then you are out of luck per the new rules.
You may still try and get access, I certainly did on the basis of holding a same day LH group BP, but the rules have recently been
updated online to prevent this behavior.

Don't expect to get access, but try nontheless.

That is not quite correct. You do get access to the FCL, but there is no way they will drive you from the (non-schengen) FCL E to a schengen flight. You will need to take the new shuttle back to the FCL A and walk to the gate from there or, if it is indeed an apron position, get driven from the FCL A to it.

Just asked the lounge attendant. Not officially. They can offer it, but it’s not an offered benefit.

maybe mixed up with the (not so) new pickup for F pax from E arrivals?

Which is rather odd, there is a scheduled shuttle service from A to E , that car or van has to return, doing so empty is strange

For the longer time there was no offical shuttle from E to A until recently where I thought they officially allowed to take the car returning to A from E...
I guess I must be mistaken and this isn't as official as I thought. However, as long as they let one ride back on the car to A, even if it's not offical, I'll be happy

They probably wanted to avoid too much lounge tourism, with a shuttle ride and passport check in both directions.

Anyway, would be great if it worked in both directions now.

So for the sake of clarity:

F (NON SEN) on arrival: no guest access
F (SEN) on arrival: no guest access
HON on arrival: guest access

?

I still think this is incorrect. I am not SEN most definetly not HON, and yet it always worked for me to guest on F arrival.

Some have reported that there is guest access with F arrival.

My comment re SEN meant, that there is still no guest access to the SEN lounge when a SEN arrives with a guest in Y or J, as there used to be no guest access to the HON/FCL when a HON arrived with a guest, which seems to have changed.

Seems to be guest access in all those scenarios now.
