LX/LH F Chauffeur service in the UK

I have a flight on LX in F coming up in April. There is now a free chauffeur service availble but is only free within a 50 mile radius. I live about 8 miles outside this radius (although about 70 driven miles from Heathrow). Has anyone any experience of whether it is possible to part pay for the service to cover the excess mileage? The LX website doesn't cover this point.

Hi, that's the reply I received from the limousine service after having submitted online the request last sommer on swiss website:

Hi Artemio,
Swiss have rejected the free limo as it is over 50 miles. If you want to resubmit your request but keep the mileage within 50 miles from Heathrow, they should approve that if you have a valid first class ticket. We can still pick you up from Romsey and you can pay the excess to us in cash.
From all of us at xxx Chauffeurs, we would like to thank you for your continued support in using our service.

By the way, they asked me 50 Pounds for the excess part.

Thank-you. That sounds encouraging. I will submit a request.

I don't see the need to edit the company name, as it's also mentioned in the online form on the LX website at https://www.swiss.com/unitedkingdom/...ousine-service. It's CTS Chauffeur Services. Their contact details if you want to contact them directly:

Tel: +44 (0) 1483 331221
Email: [email protected]
Web: www.ctsinternational.co.uk

I used their services a couple of months ago - perfect service, I was driven by their owner (or one of the owners?) both times, a very friendly gentleman.

My bad, goliath. Since I wasn't quiet sure if I could or not mention it, I preferred not to. Sorry about that.

Quick question on F Cl chauffeur service ex LHR

Hi there. In Feb we are flying F to JNB from ZUR and connecting (in J) from LHR. I see the maximum mileage for the chauffeur service is 50 miles; can we pay for an additional 20 miles? Any advice gratefully received. 1K

It is 50 miles max & paid for from LX UK marketing budget.
You could try booking online, if your booking is successful you will then receive the number for the chauffeur service & you could call them with your booking code to arrange the additional distance.

How was the supplement calculated? Was it a fixed amount per mile? Can you share the value?

‘Thanks for the update & as you say.... but at least it’s better than paying for 70 miles each way yourself.
