Any way to tell in advance if I'm getting the new F? I assume not because the seat map is still the same, but any ideas would be appreciated :-)

Check the Economy seat map and look if the four additional seats are there.

Nick---THANK YOU.

Have an urgent trip that popped up and the LH flight is significantly more expensive.

...but as always with LX, you can never count on a specific plane (registration) until you are boarding. Right now, with only one plane refurbished, it's just the luck of the draw really.

For sure. And this is why I don't like it At least with LH I'm not playing the hard product lottery.

So for now it's a 20% chance I get new F. And by end of April hopefully 40% or maybe even... 60%?

You’re welcome, although I’m not exactly sure what I did to deserve such a thank you.

Not really. Depends on the destination. FWIW during the first two weeks of operation HB-JMH went to the following destinations.

7 Mar NRT
8 Mar BOS
9 Mar NRT
10Mar BOS
11Mar NRT
12Mar JNB
14Mar NRT
15Mar JNB
17Mar NRT
18Mar BOS
19Mar NRT
20Mar JNB

NewbieRunner's excellent data points aside, even if it was evenly distributed, there are only 4 in service as 1 is being refurbished and can't possibly operate your flight. Therefore your chances would be 25%, then 50% in a few weeks, etc.

I'm no mathematician but based on the destinations of HB-JMH in the last two and a half weeks, the chance of getting new F until HB-JMI returns from DRS would be:

NRT 44%
BOS 22%
JNB 17%
PVG 0%

I hope they are pushing the refurbishment. I will have my first flight to PVG early October after a long time and would like to get new F.
