Old. It's an A340, they have not refurbed F on those, only C. Still, it's a great ride, enjoy LX F.

ZRH-BKK is A340-300, so the old F.

will be flying in C with LX ZRH to BKK in Nov too - glad to hear it's got the new C. Anybody knows what the service flow in C?
Since it's a late departure, is there still a full dinner service after departure? I imagine something like: Dinner - Breakfast - Pre arrival snack/lunch?

Accelerated dinner service + warm breakfast.

Good to know - never flew the old LX-F, only the new one, so I'll have a chance to compare the two :)

The "old" LX F product is still light years ahead of the old LH old F product. Enjoy! :)

What are these rumors btw about crew's being particularly bad on the BKK leg? Anybody have a view on this?

Strangest rumor I have heard in a long time.

As with any company, people vary, and as with any person, there is variation (everyone can have a great day and everyone can have a s**t day).

As a regular flyer on lx 180/181 in my experience, there is very little difference between this route and any other LX route- although sometimes the staff are very happy to be flying somewhere warm (Bangkok) and my understanding is the crew hotel is supposed to be very nice.

Thnx - that's what I thought.

There are a couple of negative comments about crew performance on the BKK leg on here:

Flew ZRH-BKK twice in Aug and Sep. Stellar - and I really mean STELLAR - service and consistency.

I have always been a huge TG fan, but on one of those trips I flew TG on the way back, got a bad crew and realised how much I missed LX!

Flown ZRH-BKK over 15 times now and every single time service has been exceptional. Never experienced anything but fantastic service with LX ^

did ZRH-BKK in LX F 2 months ago and the in-flight service was truly outstanding - with a full F cabin on both legs. can only recommend.

LX crew was indeed good when I flew with them NRT-ZRH in August. 5/8 load in F. Even when I was the only one in LH F FRA-ICN I still think the LX service and crew were much better.
