Lightbulb RSS for this discussion board ??

Hi All

Could it be possible that there is a RSS aggregator link for this discussion forum.

I joined recently so i dunno if it was discussed before, but it would be a great tool. Maybe the IT support team for FT can look into it.

The MR thread is a treasure trove of information and getting messages pop up in realtime would make it priceless

I wish!

I haven't heard it discussed before, though there may be better places to discuss it.

It's there, I'm using it

Just click on Quick Links, and last two options are RSS URLs (ver. 1 and ver. 2 respectively).

I can see them just fine. Look for This forum RSS 2.0.
The link I use is:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/exter...2&forumids=372
You can even make a live bookmark with it if you use FireFox.

Can anyone tell me which I should choose RSS 1.0 or RSS 2.0 for my aggregatting program? Or what the difference is? (Beyond the obvious version level difference)

Depends on your RSS reader. Chances are either one will work for you if you have a modern reader.

Question

I'm using Safari 2.0 under Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger). For any forum in RSS that I subscribe to, only 15 total posts appear. Any idea why?

For example, here's the RSS feed for Travel Technology: feed://www.flyertalk.com/forum/external.php?type=rss2&forumids=169

When I click on the above link, only 15 total posts show up. Same thing with other forums.

We don't have Tiger on any machines yet, so this is a just a guess, but is there a preference in Safari that sets that limit?

It seems to be working fine now. It only showed the 15 posts limit the first time I opened the forums. Somehow it corrected itself. And no, there is no preference limit in the new RSS tab for Safari.
