There is a sticky in MilesBuzz that, theoretically, lists all of the miles and points deals currently generating generating a buzz on FT. It is not as useful as it could be, however, because gleff does not have the time to update it very often (last time: Oct 22).

Could we add a section to TalkMail that listed current 'hot deals'? Many threads have good promos in them that should be seen by a wider audience but which are missed because they are in a forum that that person does not normally see.

As an example, I started a thread in the InterCon forum a few months ago about an amazing promo at the five star LeGrand Hotel in Paris. 2 nights for the price of 1, guaranteed upgrade to a Junior Suite, Club access and a free massage. You could do the whole package for Euro 277 on some weekends. This offer appeals to a wide audience, but only visitors to the IC forum saw it.

As another example, I have a few 'orphan' miles in a number of airline programs whose boards I do not follow. I would be very interested in any generous promos that would allow me to boost my miles to a level that made it worthwhile redeeming them, but I do not have the time to monitor all the boards. A recent example of this would be the Delta 10k game.

Perhaps you could ask moderators to e-mail potential threads for a new "Hot Deals" section in TalkMail? This would sit happily alongside the "Hot Threads" bit of TalkMail which rarely has much to do with "Hot Deals".

Alas there really haven't been too many incredible promos recently, either. I think the DL 10k for playing a game was on the front page of MilesBuzz, Delta, and SPAM the whole time it was active. And then the promo was pulled. So it didn't quite warrant a change to the sticky.

The LeGrande offer was a very good one, but probably wouldn't have gone in the sticky either as it wasn't a mileage-earning offer. Perhaps TravelBuzz?

Nevertheless, I would appreciate anyone sending me suggestions for the sticky.

Of course, that bears not at all on the suggestion for TalkMail. Though many of the better offers make it into the MilesLink newsletter which you may want to subscribe to as well if you aren't already receiving it.
