I spend some time at a cruise board and they have "view counters" and I find that feature very interesting.

I would be strongly IN favor of KEEPING the post counters. It gives all of us a sense of the persons contributions to the board.

I would be strongly AGAINST a view counter.
IMHO, it means nothing. We would end up with "compulsive viewers" who would continually open their own thread to pad the view count.
