I thought there was- maybe i'm blind, but how about a search for the whole board instead of each forum.

I agree on this one, we use to be able to do search the whole board for topics instead of one forum at a time, my concern is that there probably are some forums I fail to search which has information that I'm looking for.

I agree. It's rather frustrating to have limited searches.
Here's the discussion on this topic from earlier this year. It includes the "official" response from the Webflyer folks.

I would've thought that upgrading capabilties to handle search would be included in this new FT, but I guess not....

Here's an (possibly heretical) idea:
How about charging a extremely nominal fee (e.g. $0.10-$0.15) per "All Forum" search?
As I understand it, the limitation at the moment is computing resource issue - presumably a seperate search server would need to be set up, to handle indexing, search requests, etc.
Charging a fee would cover those costs.
I know this is somewhat contrary to the prevailing philosophy of offering all FT resources for free to everyone. Yet, right now, with "everything free", we don't have a "All Forum" search option.
Just thinking outside the box...

I miss a search tool for the last post by a member, regardless the forum. Like "When/where Doc posted last time in whole FT?"
