Tremblant
Surprised not to see the Westin Mont Tremblant on this thread. It's an easy drive from Montreal.
Should this thread be made into a wiki for ease of reference?

We stayed recently (Jan 2017) at the Four Points in Bolzano. This is near (30mins drive) the Carezza and Obereggen ski areas. Using points this was very affordable, and with a nice platinum upgrade.
We've skiied from the Sheraton Fuschlsee-Salzburg Hotel Jagdhof. There is a family-oriented mid-sized hill only 10mins away (Gaissau Hintersee), and larger areas about an hour away. Also good value with points.

Nira Alpina in Silvaplana/St. Moritz
Nira Montana in La Thuile, Italy
The Cambrian Adelboden, Switzerland
Chandolin Boutique Hotel in Val d'Anniviers, Switzerland
And a new LC in the Dolomites:
Cristallo in Cortina d'Ampezzo
With all these additions, SPG might just be the hotel loyalty programs with the most ski properties to earn or redeem points in!

Yep, one of the reasons I love SPG. And on the redeem part, it's not even close. After years of dabbling in various programs, SPG resort award availability consistently blows all the other chains out of the water. Hyatt would probably be second, but with so few properties it's not really a fair comparison, and they've gotten worse recently.

Looking for a non-ski Mountain resort / hotel
A bit of a change from the focus of this thread...
We have a 2 year old who isnt yet ready to ski but loves the snow. Can anyone recommend an SPG hotel in the alps or mountains of Europe with good activities and sights for a toddler, preferably without the additional traffic and cost that a ski resort would have.
Thanks.

probably one of the designhotels, you might look at general areas first
verbier might be good, has a W as well
especially over holidays and peak, which may go away under marriott, but even then, no competition, just one of many things where there is no competition
hyatt and IC (even fewer) may downgrade benefits and awards more after SPG finally ends
