10,000 points on Thanksgiving Day! I play for both of my hubby and myself every day (this win was on his account so I'll "let" him pick where he wants to use it). And I won a $50 Amazon GC on the last SPG game. So surprising!

Still getting the "Sorry, not this time!" message every time I've given this thing a go! Even if I get the puzzle done properly on my first try in seconds, I haven't won and I'm starting to think I won't ever...

My husband got the 10k on his account (with my help) a few days ago. Still nothing on my account, I'll keep trying.

5000 on my first try, still nothing on my SO's account after four attempts.

I have played every day so far, and nothing. These contests are usually misses for me. The only time I ever actually won something was during that Kate Spade tote bag competition. Being a guy, I had no use for a Kate Spade bag, but my sister loves it and became an SPG member as a result.

It's 100% random. The methodology is clearly specified in the T&C.

And that's how creative SPG is in bringing in new members.

Guess we should enjoy it while we still can.

I figured. I just graduated college and started full-time travel for work two years ago, so I always feel so left out in the "Back in my day..." threads. I won't even get time to earn LT gold on SPG before the merger kicks fully kicks in, though I'll almost have the LT plat nights requirement. :(:(:(

:( Perhaps you should look on the bright-side: Marriott doesn't go by years elite. It goes by nights and points accumulated. Hopefully, the conversion from *pts to MR pts will make a dent in that LT number for you.
