Thumbs down Sheraton Palo Alto

Club lounge is not open on weekends. They gave me 1 drink coupon for house wine/beer (2 people in room). No appetizer coupon. They stated this was their standard practice.

Cheers,
Saskatoon too I think, unless there are rooms on the same floor on the other wing.
Also Sheraton Sand Key, Clearwater Beach for sure. It is on the top floor along with the fitness centre.

The very nice Club Room at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina occupies the penthouse of the Marina Tower (no rooms on that level).

What is the latest news on this policy?

In 2013, I have seen more lounges closed on weekends than are open e.g.
- Sheraton Dulles;
- Sheraton Valley Forge in PHL.

Also, what is the latest on SPG lounge location policy? At one time, they were closing all Westin lounges and promising to open lounges in all Sheraton locations! Is this still underway or has it been changed?

It didn't affect my stay, but I noticed a permanent sign on a Sheraton lounge recently that they are closed on holidays. Is this permitted?

The sheraton sand key resort webpage says the following:

Club guests also have access to the Sheraton Club Lounge. Welcoming guests from morning to night with a complimentary breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres, and snacks and beverages available throughout the day,

But they lock the doors on you outside of breakfast and the evening hours.

I know of a Sheraton that locks the lounge doors during the daytime on weekends but invites guests with lounge privileges to ask to be allowed to enter or to request snacks. They apparently had too many problems with big groups and families where one club level room would be reserved and the people in that room would hold the lounge door for twenty or thirty others to enter when no staff member was present, for example to hold a sports event party in the lounge. (I've witnessed this and I think the hotel is right to try to control the situation.)

Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center club lounge

The club lounge at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in North Carolina (US) is not open 24 hours per day. Premium drinks (ie sodas and other drinks) are not available in the self service refrigerator, Only bottled water is available in the self service refrigerator. The Club lounge hours are breakfast time and evening time. I like this hotel and I like this club lounge if the club lounge would be open 24/7 it would be even better. The lounge is on the same floor as the club level rooms. Lurker can you turn this into the Sheraton Police? I have another stay next month (August 2013) and I am hoping that this will be changed before then.

Also a great note wine, beer (I think) and deserts serviced in club lounge in the evening. Very Nice.

***UPDATED***

Just returned from a stay 8/1/2013 and club lounge is now open 24/7 with premium drinks now available (self service).

Just an update to say the newly renovated lounge at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North is quite nice, with decent hot & cold morning and afternoon offerings.

Cheers,

It can, unless the property is classified as a resort or has been granted a waiver otherwise.

No worries. Sorry that I forgot to mention that it was forwarded on to the brand for follow-up.
