RTW question
Hi. I had been buying 3 to 4 *A RTW business class tickets per year in Thailand until the price increased a couple of months ago. I live in Hong Kong so now the price is about the same as buying a RTW here, which is too much. Is there a resource someplace where I can find other combinations of airlines that offer a RTW ticket? I am UA 1K so I want to stay on *A as much as possible.
For instance, last month I got a CX/UA business class RTW for HKG-LHR-LAX-HNL-NRT-HKG. It was cheaper than *A RTW but I still got every sector on UA except HKG-LHR. I know about SQ/VS, SQ/CO and CX/UA. Are there any other RTW combinations available which I can fly mostly on *A but cheaper than *A RTW? Preferably including UA. Sorry if this is the wrong forum... |

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=499706 With the UA/EK-RTW (very cheap ex BKK) you can fly everything except Europe-HKG on UA + you can still credit the EK miles to UA, no EQM though. (with UA's new service to Kuwait, you can squeeze some more miles on UA out of it) With the Great escapade SQ/NZ/VS (quite cheap ex HKG) you can fly all the way SQ/NZ if you take NZ for LAX-LHR (or SQ on JFK-FRA if you do a surface segment in the US) |
Great info. Thanks for your help
