Alternative RTWs with Star Alliance Airlines (Compilation)
Apart from the standard Star Alliance RTWs (STAR1-3 + LITE) which include travel on all Star Alliance airlines, there are several RTWs that include one or more Star Alliance airlines and offer either a lower price or different routing options. Information on these lesser known RTWs is widespread over FT and the internet, so I thought a compilation could be useful. As there are many gaps to fill, any comments, additions and corrections are welcome, I’ll edit appropriately.

very interesting thread - this is the reason *A and OW forums are still very useful
I never knew there were so many possibilities for rtw thinking that it was either straight forward *a or at worst, the Great escapade
Thanks - will be useful for planning a potential rtw if I get the 3 month break I am after in a years time

There are a number of psuedo-RTWs available ex NZ and Australia. These are basically round trips to europe that allow routing both ways and limited stops - usually can add segments and stops in europe.
