Fare classes for mileage accrual?

Dear FTs,

Don't know if this is the correct forum.

But just want to ask what are the fare classes eligible for mileage accrual on AC and UA?

That depends on the FF scheme to which you will be crediting the miles (your host scheme).

You may want to look at this thread, as it contains links to threads or sites that detail the fare classes and corresponding earning percentages on *A partners for various *A FF schemes.

Generally if the operating airlines don't allow mileage accural in their own schemes, the same fare class will also be non-accurable in other partner schemes.

Yes, I understand that. But in some cases (KF), the programme does not specifically tell their members which fare buckets on patrner airlines can accrue miles. So now, I'll just have to use intuition, and judge from other FFPs and try to see if that particular bucket earns miles.

Yes, but sometime it does not apply.
This is an example of if you credit SQ flight to SQ KrisFklyer or BD Diamond Club.

SQ Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
http://www.singaporeair.com/saa/en_U...e_partners.jsp
Most booking fares are eligible for accrual of KrisFlyer miles. However Economy Class tickets booked in V, Q, G, N or T on Singapore Airlines are ineligible for mileage accrual. Please check with your travel agent or the relevant airline before making a reservation to determine the eligibility of your booking fare for mileage accrual.
BD BMI Diamond Club

Star Alliance airlines / x 2.0 miles / x 1.5 miles / x 1.0 miles
Singapore / F,P,A / Z, C, J, D / Y, S, B, M, H, Q, V

In such cases, rather than relying on intuition, I pick up the phone, call my host FF scheme and inquire which fare classes in the partner airline I intend to fly accrue miles. I then document the answer and wait for my miles to post .

I would suggest you do the same.
