map?
Where can I find a map of all Star Alliance destinations and routes? Does such a thing exist? The International map in the united in-flight magazines leaves out a lot of destinations e.g. quite a few served by SAS

The Star Alliance ATW software also is very useful to determine which partner flies between specific city pairs. There is one catch if you are on an award ticket, sometimes *A's use code shares on non member airlines. An example is Verig's flight to Cape Town, which is actually operated by South African. This will be solved shortly (maybe) when SAA joines *A. |
I've never seen a comprehensive *A map. It'd be nice to have, unfortunately you are stuck going to various airline Websites to look at their own maps.

I suspect a complete map would be far too cluttered to be usable. The ones in Hemispheres are pretty much that way already.
|
To the administrators: Do you think we could make a sticky somewhere and post all the links to every star alliance route map. Some are quite difficult to find, and I suspect a lot of people might want to see a collection of maps to figure how best to spend their miles...

I'll volunteer. Dynamic or static will work really. As long as we can compile links to visual representations of where we can fly on star alliance carriers. |
here is the link to bmi routes: http://www.flybmi.com/bmi/en-gb/plan...tinations.aspx

For example, the early morning period shows all the flights departing FRA, then they all come back home in late afternoon/evening. The normal speed version has taught me alot about where *alliance flies. edited to correct many typos caused by sticky fingers |

I love the screen saver - I had it as my screen saver for a while, but had to take if off because I just ended up sitting around all day staring at the little dots move... Greg |
