Discounted Business Class on UA is a Z fare.

I have an LH award all booked in (I) with just one segment on SQ
when I view my list of flights on LH website, it shows them all as "business class I" except the SQ flight which says, "business class flexible I"

Anyone know why the word flexible should be in there? I did ask the senator hotline but they didn't seem to know, but they did confirm it would be in business class.

my jan-2004 award flight in First on SQ ZRH-SIN-MEL, 'paid' with LH miles, issued by LH FRA, showed as confirmation and on the ticket only eco-class - but when I enquired at SQ in ZRH before the flights, they said that it's allright (in F) and confirmed my preferred seats than.

It worked out as promised.

Thanks Rudi,
I was concerned about it, as it's damn difficult to put things right when your the other side of the world...i'm still surprised LH didn't have a complete explanation for the "flexible" wording part??

Booking Codes for RTWs

Does anyone know if there are special booking codes for RTW flights?
Also, if RTW flights (in Y) count as "full" or "discounted" when it comes to miles?
Thanks!

depends of the Frequent Flier program you use, the flight carriers and if it is a Star-rtw-'light' ticket, with some program also if it is an international/or a national flight-segment, etc. etc.

I know that ANA does a "special" BC in Z class.

Ditto to all the compliments, very nice summary!

Kempis, do you know anything about B booking class? Is it below or above S, and will it accrue the 150% mileage or only 100%?

YVR Cockroach Sep 27, 2004 2:29 pm

I am trying to make some award reservations on US. Award BC on *A carriers appears to be I. FC is O.

My SK flights in November are coming up in "U" class. I think this is a new discounted economy - you dont get a meal and get less miles on EuroBonus.

Anyone know what miles you will get for SK U on other *A programs?
