Do a flight search for an economy ticket, and set it so that you can choose your flight. It goes through Nan and Phrae. As far as whats there, I have no idea. Haven't been there. I was just goofing off and saw it. $25, runs 4 days a week, TG171 and TG172. Actually, it raises the price per segment *slightly*, but this would certainly work as a mileage run. Cost per segment would be around $12.

Re CNX PHS, since this operates as one flight number (TG171) it will only count as one segment even if it makes two stops on the way. The key to having a segment qualify is to ensure that it has its own flight coupon and flight number. From the LP run some folks were able to get two flight coupons for a flight with a single flight number that made a stop but there were sometimes complications so I don't recommend it.

Is this new? In 1995, I flew PHX-LAS-LAX, and was credited with 2 (4 with the RT) segments.

All my flights since then have been one segment.

Been to these Thai towns a few times, though on this mileage run, seems like you'd only see the airport. Not much of interest, though of course thais are almost uniformly warm and hospitable, and enough speak english to make a plate of noodles and mugs of beer a delightful evening.
