LAX-ICN on J
Hello all,
Need some advice. Flying LAX-ICN on J and have a few options. OZ LAX-ICN on 772 UA LAX-SFO-ICN on 747 UA LAX-NRT-ICN on 789 NH LAX-NRT-ICN on 772 OZ has the nonstop flight, but I get 100% PQM vs 200% on UA or NH. Is it worth the additional PQM over the nonstop and any major difference on flying OZ/UA/NH? Thanks! |
Sounds like your are n a revenue class as opposed to ward. Do you have options to upgrade to F? That can help determine your best choice.

Are they all the same price? Or work is paying so you don't care?
In terms of product : 1. NH 2. OZ 3. UA NH and OZ similar product then quite a drop to UA |

Is there a reason you're not considering the other OZ flight on A380?

If you are in J, take the nonstop for a simple reason - more sleep time! NRT-LAX flights are often 9 hours or less, gate to gate.
https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL33 Of course, this is reverse, but the same argument applies. |
If you need the additional PQMs then NH would be my choice. If you don't really need them then OZ. I agree, I'd go for the A380 over the 777 if the time works for you.

You could also do UA LAX-SFO connecting to SQ SFO-ICN, or BR LAX-TPE-ICN.

On the OZ 777 & 380 is the hard product identical?

Agree with others if the time works for you OZ on the A380 is the best option.
If miles is not too important then OZ on the 777, otherwise NH. I personally prefer NH's hard and soft products, but OZ's is pretty decent. Unless your company requires you to fly on an US based airline UA should be your last option. |

Is it better SQ/BR with a stop over OZ nonstop? |
