ANA to syd

I wish ANA flew to Sydney. Does anyone think this is likely anytime soon? Also I wish there was some way to get miles flying to and from sydney to start a flight across the pacific on Continental out of Cairns. Does anyone think this is possible?

Is your post a statement or rhetorical question? Having trouble figuring out the point you are (trying to) mak(e)ing.

Yes, NH flying to Sydney would be great. Unfortunately I just can't see this happening as the SYD-TYO route hasn't been easy for a number of years and now is in complete shambles.

I don't understand your statement in regards to collecting mules to/from Sydney in order to get a CO flight ex. CNS.
You can always fly between SYD and NRT on OZ via ICN or NZ via AKL which are both good options. CA/SQ/TG etc are also possible.

I agree that it would be nice if NH did SYD-TYO. It is a big hole for *A out of NRT. It is one of the few routes where I usually end up flying OW. With that being said, the OZ option is pretty good via ICN, and the connection wasn't that bad.

Also if CO/UA could bring their planes down to SYD from GUM it would be great connecting in GUM to many Japanese cities. Connecting in CNS is simply too painful.

As far as I know, they can't without screwing around with Australian regulation, which they obviously don't want to do considering that Continental Micronesia is relatively profitable
