I'm also guessing Little Italy because the riddle says shops --- plural. But I wonder what time it starts, when restaurants open or a set time? Midday isn't very precise. Knowing this crowd, some might decide that's 7am. Then, do we just carouse up and down India Street until we find the confetti and cheers boxes, perhaps being held by Southwest employees? I know the riddle says the boxes are "hidden", but I can't see how non-participating shops would want a bunch of people going through their aisles looking for free plane tickets that are somewhere else.

For the SW riddle for Los Angeles last week, "It’s hidden in the shops of a hundred years" they were at the Century City Shopping mall in the center / customer service / atrium area of the mall from 12 to 1pm. There was a Southwest Employee by a big marketing box of "cheer."
So, for the 2nd part of the SW San Diego riddle, "It’s hidden in the shops where you love to eat spaghetti" I can't think of a mall with spaghetti in its name, or anything that rhymes with spaghetti. There are shops in Little Italy. Is there a central plaza in Little Italy where the SW employee might be for one hour?

There were 11 prizes: SAN-EWR for six people, Aug 24-26, including hotel. No surprise, since this is a slow week and a route where WN goes head-to-head with AS. The others got a coupon for free wifi on one flight. It seems to me they took more than 60 people since I was farther back in line than that and they still kept going after I got my wifi card. However, I didn't count the dings made by the machine dispensing the cards. The giveaway ended with at least 100 people still in line.
