Naples
I'll be spending a couple of weeks there in the new Year, attending a course. Accomodation is all taken care of (nothing special, more's the pity http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...m/rolleyes.gif )
Can anyone let me know of what there is to do in the vicinity? I've read a little in the guidebooks, and it sounds nice and upscale. I'm particularly interested in any restaurant recommendations, and tips to spend any free time I find myself with. Oh and - what's the weather going to be like in early January? |

Upscale was certainly the right word! Looks great - I have to confess that I've been a little disappointed by my previous trips to Florida (Miami & environs), so I'm hoping for something special. [This message has been edited by AndrewC (edited Dec 16, 2003).] |

Have just returned and I can report that Naples was indeed a very stunnning location. Civilised, very upmarket and relaxed.
The weather was great and (though I didn't have time to use it) the beach looked pristine. |
