I've looked at Yelp and a couple other websites, but looking for additonal suggestions. Open to pretty much any cusine, as long as it is good and reasonably priced.

Could you be a little more specific about what you are looking for as we have a few hundred restaurants here?

As I said, I will eat pretty much anything, but if I have to narrow it down my top choices would be:

Bistro style (french or american)
Asian (thai or chinese)
Local cuisine

Thanks again.

I like Salsa's
http://www.salsasnc.com/

The Caribbean influence is a nice change on the burrito's. Hector's hot sauce is good too.

One additional note...I will be traveling on my own this trip, so also looking for places friendly to solo diners.

My favorite: Tupelo Honey Cafe

Cafe Kathmandu (Nepalese/Indian) http://cafekathmanduasheville.com/
Early Girl Eatery (Southern) http://earlygirleatery.com/
Thai Basil (Thai) http://thaibasilnc.com/
Rosetta's Kitchen (Vegetarian) http://rosettaskitchen.com/
Jerusalem Garden Cafe (Middle Eastern) http://www.jerusalemgardencafe.com/

I recently ate at Salsa's for the first time in years. The food and the service were quite good. And the Caribbean influence (owner Hector is from Puerto Rico) makes it rather unique food.

For ribs or pulled pork, you can't beat 12 bones - http://www.12bones.com/

Very casual, with a variety of rib sauces and dry rubs.

We ate there twice last week, and weren't disappointed.

We walked by Tupelo one morning. Those pancakes looked ^

FYI, Over Easy is over priced. They served unripe peaches. How does a restaurant in the south serve unripened peaches.
Don't even get me started on the watery grits.

FYI, if you're staying at The Four Points, don't eat the buffet. You should order off the menu. The french toast was tasty and cheap.

Glad to know you liked Early Girl. I haven't heard anything about Over Easy. I'm not a foodie, but I live here, and if it was anything decent, I should have at least hear about it.

Sorry to have missed responding to this thread on a timely basis, but for anyone else traveling to Asheville, Bouchon is on my list of favorites worldwide.

And no visit to Asheville is complete without a tour of one (or preferably more than one) of the local breweries. Highland is my favorite but there are none I don't like.
