Need help from a local :)

Hi, I'm invited to the Blackberry World 2011 at the Marriott World Center. Invitation includes flights and hotel during the event (May 3rd - 5th). I'd like to spend a little more time there and have decided to fly in on the 1st and leave on the 8th. Which leaves 3 hotel nights needed, 1st, 2nd and 7th of May. Staying in the hotel I'm offered will cost me 3 * $299,- and will make this trip a "bit" expensive. Can somebody advice on :

* a hotel not to far from the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
* preferably not too expensive (the cheaper the better, I use the hotel for sleeping and showering, but will spend my days outside.)
* I do want to sleep, so quiet at night (not next to a highway)
* evidently, it must be clean
* free WiFi is a pro

I've been looking at everything online, seen BestWestern, Days Inn, RedRoof etc etc but cannot decide. Also all kind of promo's which I can find, but either they don;t work, or I find a couple of new options

Hope a local can help me make up my mind and find me a nice deal, thanks in advance !!!

What is your budget? My favorite Disney-area hotel is just off-site. It's the Homewood Suites off of Palm Parkway. It's an all-suite Hilton property that is only a couple of years old. They do a great included breakfast in the morning, continental with some hot items. Generally rooms can be had for around $100 per night.

You can also try the Disney value resorts, which also can often be had for around $100 per night. They are very basic, though they do include resort transportation.

Thanks for your reply ^

I'm currently looking hotels costing $50,- a night

Really don't care about the hotel, a clean bed, a decent shower and not too much noise.

In that price range, there are tons of hotels on Highway 192, the "dreaded Irlo Bronson," a few miles south of the Disney area.

Feb. 24-28 I stayed at an acceptable Econolodge down there for $26.50 a night.

Google that road for many many possibilities. You will need a car assuming you are going to go see the Mouse.

If you are hotel-hopping to pile up stays for elite status, that's the place to look.

Several hotels of the Hampton Inn/Clarion type on Palm Parkway, much closer to Downtown Disney, are around $72-80.

I am inclined to agree. U.S. 192 is your best bet. Search here: http://www.visitkissimmee.com/leisure/places-to-stay/

Thanks Orlando Vic, I booked the BW Lakeside. Will take a look at the visitorlando site though, maybe there's some stuff I can do during my stay. Thanks again!
