Elite upgrades are available on CO, CP and NW operated flights within North America as well as Micronesia and Central/South America flights on planes with domestic-first-style "business class" cabins (generally 737s). In other words, you generally won't see upgrades on any flights to Europe, Asia, Hawaii or South America that have a true int'l business class cabin. See https://www.continental.com/web/en-U.../upgrades.aspx

Not to be rude, but as nldogbert suggested, please give all the rules over at continental.com a good read-through and then come back and ask us questions about things that aren't clear. You might also want to pose your questions in the CO forum, since there's a wider range of CO-specific expertise there (including a member called "CO Insider" who is an official voice of CO).

This is not 100% percent accurate. There is no EUA (free u/g) on the flights marketed as BusinessFirst. However there are several flights that are operated with such equipment but marketed as just F, so they are EUA-eligable. Some routes of note are GUM-NRT (mix of 738 and 764 on that route -- both a/c are eligable) and EWR/IAH - LIM (752, but EUA-eligable).
