I would suggest NW WorldPerks. They are pretty good... better than DL and CO. Inspite of their current financial troubles, I personally think NW will stick around for a long time to come. NW also has more and better partners than DL and CO.

Since NW has no international first class, you can't use WorldPerks miles to redeem international first class on other SkyTeam carriers.

That's a plus for joining Flying Blue.

I don't think this is correct. The NW award charts show mileage level for redemption on international First class

It says that, but the mileage awards are the same levels as business class.

Here's a thread saying NW miles can't be used for Air France First Awards

Other threads say first is available on Malaysian and Air Tahiti Nui, but these are NW partners, not Skyteam airlines.
