Which ICN business lounge are y'all referring to:
a) main terminal lounge where KE flights depart b) Terminal A where the int'l airlines depart Is there a difference besides the location? |

Unless I'm mistaken, it's pretty much (if not identically) the same size as before, right? Just now has five showers instead of three (which is a big upgrade indeed), and less of the proper workspace table (IMO downgrade). Food &c. same as before, as in usually quite good. So in my books it's one +, one -, net really 0... to me at least.
I just wish they'd add more Internet bandwidth there. How it is now, same as before, every time I've been there it's dead slow and practically unusable. :( The internet is hit and miss really. It's a standard for what you'll get in the average lounge and could have done with more bandwidth but it's not terrible really. The last time I was there it was actually flying which was a bit of a shock to me but I was pleasantly surprised. |
It will be interesting to see how the new Sky Club in terminal F at ATL stacks up. Delta is calling it the flagship SC.

What is the best Skyteam lounge at ORD?

The SC is fine. Bar is self serve. High top table, bar stools with a view of the curtain and gates. Some of the high-back, high-side chairs for a bit of privacy toward the back of the club. The AF lounge is nice, if you can get in there. My experience is generally getting denied by the dragons and sent back to the DL lounge, so your options may not really be ST but only DL, unless, of course, you're flying AF, in which case you may have better luck!

AMS KLM Crown Lounge (50) by the International gates gets my vote. They have amazing pancakes!
|
It's not large or fancy, but I've always enjoyed my time in the SCL SC. The self-service bar has a good range of Chilean wines (including bubbly) and pisco sours, and there are cold cuts, nice bread, and hot soup. The staff are friendly and helpful with confirming tickets.

:(:(I have to admit US skyclubs are not that hot any more.:(

I have heard so much about KE ICN clubs through the years. Since I hear others complimenting ICN, I thought I should point out a caveat-- recently I flew to PUS. On the outbound I booked a biz seat on the DTW-ICN flight and looked forward to the 4 hour ICN layover to do work in the KE lounges. How wrong I was. The lounges are all for international flights. There is no domestic lounge in ICN, not even a priority pass lounge, only lounges for Koreans that are not part of a wide network. Instead of working productively, I had to wander the terminal. As an Elite Plus, KE gave me a $5 voucher to buy a cup of coffee at Dunkin Doughnuts. Next time I will avoid transiting ICN and use NRT instead.

For DL SkyClubs only:
1. NRT 2. MSP F 3. BOS The new SEA rooftop SC is really nice, too. |
1. LHR T4: best breakfast spread and usually very quiet (especially upstairs)
2. AMS KLM Crown, non-schengen: spacious, quiet considering the size, decent food (make your own ham sandwich ), plugins at almost every seat - and the chairs are comfy. I've had nothing but great service from the ticket agents who are stationed in the lounge. 3. ICN KE: huge, decent food, easy to find a private area 4. NRT: mainly for the food; comfortable, but they can get very crowded at times (doesn't handle crowds as well as the others, otherwise it would be higher on my list) |

After hearing the mentions of KE's F club at ICN, I'm wondering how a mere mortal like me, equipped with pithy SkyPesos, can get in? Best lounge I've ever been in, hands down, was CX's The Wing in HKG; altho nominal DL partner Malaysia Air's lounge in KUL is pretty nice, too. |
