Sixti isn´t realy made for buisness-travellers, better for students who wants to visit their parents at weekend. And it is right that most car´s of sixti are flashy covered. I live in germany and see these "vehicles" every day. There are several other disatvadvantages when you rent at sixti. SIXTI Sixt Verbindliche Reservierung Flexible Reservierung mit Stornierungsmöglichkeit Abholung und Rückgabe während der Öffnungszeiten der Stationen Fahrzeugrückgabe rund um die Uhr kein One-way möglich One-way Mieten ohne Aufpreis Beklebte Fahrzeuge (nur SMART) Unbeklebte Fahrzeuge Kreditkarte Freie Wahl der Zahlungsart Kilometerbeschränkung Freie Kilometer keine Zustellung/Abholung Zustellung/Abholung 24 Stationen in Deutschland 400 Stationen in Deutschland Buchung über Internet und kostenpflichtige Service-Hotline verschiedene Buchungskanäle Beschränkung auf drei Fahrzeugmodelle Fahrzeugwahl aus der gesamten Premiumflotte maximale Mietdauer: 100 Tage unbegrenzte Mietdauer Zusatzfahrer gegen Aufpreis möglich Zusatzfahrer kostenlos möglich http://ag.sixt.de/presse/news/mittei...l_msg=20050131 Only Smart's are flashy covered. BTW, I just wanted to help photog72 that he get's the best deal for him. He should check both Sixt & Sixti, and then make a decision what's best for him. And I surely know that Wiggums isn't one of the fairy tellers. :D .. he just wasn't aware, that Sixti changed some pesty rules ... and photog72 should know this. Now that I have a Sixt Platinum card, I take Sixt; same price like Sixti. But there is nothing wrong driving a car from Sixti. photog72 should check the prices, rule & regulations on the websites. |

Your list is nice and nearly right..... ^ shows that i was right :D I don´t know how to post pics here, is it possible? I have some pics of sixti cars(german fleet), they are flashy covered, even ford focus and ford mondeo......And as i said, i live in hamburg and i saw them on the street or do you think it was a hallozination? |
There are not only Smarts with flashy advertisement but also Ford Focus. I am absolutely sure because I still had one and I saw other several times, when I pciked but my "normal" sixt car.

You need to use any other website to post pics and then add the link here. Cheers totti |

It's not 'my list' - it's a press release from Sixt. Please read here > http://ag.sixt.de/presse/news/mittei...l_msg=20050131 However, 'my list' is a cut and paste from this link and might be misleading due to missing tabs. It should read for Sixti: Beklebte Fahrzeuge (nur SMART) 2. My cars did not have any flashy ads 3. I did not see a Sixt car at FRA with flashy ads 4. Sixti should not have Ford Focus, only Ford Mondeo Bottom line - It doesn't matter who is right or not. The question is, should photog72 even consider Sixti? I believe yes, when he want's to save some money. photog72 should look at the 'restrictions' at the link above. |

And visit the sixti website, there u can still rent the Ford Focus......... So,please try to make a difference between "i know" and " i think i know" But it is ok, it´s a forum :) greetz alex |
Right now, the point is moot for me. I tried reserving a car through http://www.sixti.com and they had no availability on the dates I wanted, and I even tried different cities I was going to visit. Oh well, Sixt, here I come.

And didn't any of you see USAFAN's quote:

40% Discount and Double Upgrade |

You'll get the same discount (40% off for all discountable rates - internet rates are NOT discountable!) and a double upgrade with two other programs but Sixt will only give you a Plat card. The following programs will entitle you to get the same perks as Sixt Diamond but with Plat Card: As this upgrades are only subject to availability it is not such a great perk. BTW Sixt is quite generous concerning upgrades even if you just have a Gold or Instant Card. There are reports on FT, that Sixt is not that generous with upgrades at some airport stations like LHR. Cheers Totti |
I've had Sixt Platinum for some time and am very happy with treatment from Sixt (very good rates, always upgraded, fantastic cars, etc)
I've seen advertisements for Sixt Diamond, and just wondering if this level is attainable through frequent renting (I rent about 50 times a year), or whether it comes just with LH HON, LHW Unlimited,... Thanks |

Thanks Where have you seen the advertisements ? Board of Directors of Sixt have to invite you or you must hold one of the statuses youve mentioned. Thanks |
