Is Sixt really that bad
I'm will be hiring a car next year from ATL. I normally use Avis through BA Holidays as I have "President's Club" status. Now, thanks to my Marriott status I have the Diamond level with Sixt. The prices from Sixt look very good, but the reviews on Trip Advisor are terrible and are putting me off switching from Avis. Can anyone here convince me to switch to Sixt?
TIA

I rented from them the first time over the 4th of July. I've rented probably 70 cars in my life and have never had any damage claims, from all the major car rental companies. A day after I turn the car back in to Sixt, they claim I put a dent in it and put a scratch on it.
I'll never rent from them again.
Stay away.

I use them all the time and it's always been ok in the end. Sometimes some billing issues that take some back and forth. In Europe, they hit you for ever stone chip etc on return, but that's how European car rental is overall in my experience, and I think the negative reviews are mostly Americans who are used to the whole if it's less than the diameter of a quarter we don't care thing.

I rent with SIXT all the time. They have been much better than the others. Mainly JFK / MCO. A few issues with billing like tolls, but they asked for the statement , and refunded it. Always take pictures. Unfortunately all rental companies try to ding you on things.

I've rented with them a couple of times at LAX after they matched my Hertz PC status. It wasn't meaningfully worse than Hertz or Avis, but it was cheaper. On the downside, there's no "pick a car and drive" option, but on the upside, after I politely complained about standing in a 10 minute line to check in, I was upgraded from a Jetta to an X5.
Probably still wouldn't pick them in the US again, but definitely on my list for use in Europe, although Europcar also matched my status and are coming up significantly cheaper for my needs.

I rented from them twice in September. Naples Italy and London.
They have cheaper rates but much better cars than I could find at Hertz or others in these locations.
Pick up and drop off service can be a serious cluster but overall worth it.
