What to expect for car class 3 series or similar at Frankfurt Airport?

I am suppose to drop off the vehicle by noon on a Tuesday. Can I drop off the evening before without penalty?

How much of a deposit is expected? It is a 5 day rental.

Thank you

Broadly speaking, although the fleet changes frequently, here is a good list of what sort of vehicles you can expect from Sixt in Germany on an FDAR/FDMR reservation:

Audi A4 (1.8 TFSI, 2.0 TDI)
BMW 3er (316d, 318d, 320d, 330d, 335d, 316i, 320i, 328i,) - teilweise auch mit X-Drive (Allradantrieb) - Some equipped with X-Drive
BMW 3er GT (318d, 320d, 330d, 335i) - teilweise auch mit X-Drive (Allradantrieb) - Some equipped with X-Drive
MB C-Klasse (180, 200 CDI, 220 CDI)

As for a rate change for early drop-off, it's hard to say without knowing the exact rental details.

Start and end dates and times would be useful to give us an idea.

hi coplatsat,

You would not be charged extra for for returning your vehicle early - the price may go down depending on how early you return the vehicle and if it is a pre-paid reservation, however the price would not go up.

The deposit held against your card is usually double the rental cost.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything further, please feel free to contact me again.

Many thanks,

Gary Caudwell.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but wanted to ask for clarification on what seems to be a similar topic.

Gary, if one books a weekly rate (5-7 days), and returns early, are you saying that one will not be charged at the higher daily rate?

Hi NDDomer86,

If you shorten a rental in the manner that you suggest in your post, the daily rate may increase depending on the rate that it was originally booked on.

However, the daily rate should not increase so substantially that the cost of the rental exceeds the original price.

I hope this helps. If you need anything further, please feel free to contact me directly.

Many thanks,

Gary Caudwell.

Even if it is prepaid? Ie although I already paid the $421 USD rental rate they will hold another $822?

Hi coplatsat,

As the deposit amount is determined at the time of collection, and can vary slightly between locations, it is always best to have the amount of double the rental cost available to ensure you have the funds to cover the deposit.

I hope this helps.

Many thanks,

Gary Caudwell.
