I'm heading to Singapore in a week myself. I too know that the best food in Singapore isn't in those "high end" restaurants, but I'm visiting friends who I'd like to take to a good French restaurant with a tasting menu.

I'm looking at Les Amis, Au Jardin, Saint Pierre ... any of these worth the $$$?

Or should I keep on looking?

Prive

As promised here's my review for Prive at Keppel Bay Marina :D

Had dinner here this evening...

Decor - Modern and simple, pity they have curtains the whole way along so you can't see the Marina though.
Staff - Young, pleasant and efficient
Drinks - decent but pricey wine list, range of beers and soft drinks. Water options are Fiji still water or San Pellegrino sparkling (ie could do better). My partner asked for a midori and lemonade but was told they don't do spirits.
Food (the main bit!) - Firstly should say it's expensive but worth it. I had the Goats cheese and vine ripened tomato salad and the Australian Barramundi. My partner had Mushroom soup and tapenade crusted sea bass. All the courses were perferctly cooked with delicate flavours.

Overall I'd go again if there was a group of 4+ people as it's not the best place for a romantic meal. Food was A+, Service B, Drink C-

Is this a fish house or is there meat on the menu?
I enjoy spirits so this restaurant would not be for me.
Thanks for the review.

In terms of mains from memory I think there was 1 chicken dish, 4 or 5 seafood and maybe 6 steak options - lots there for meat lovers!

Didn't spot a vegetarian option but then I wasn't looking

Thanks for the review. The place sounds interesting, but maybe not worth putting at the top of my list.
