Sure enough, within a few hours of midnight (Singapore time) nine months into my requalification period, I'm requalified. So, it's clear that nine months into the requalification period, they take a pass through the database for those who have requalified based on 25 sectors or 50,000 miles.

Now the question is: Does one requalify three months early if using the 'averaging' method?

fimo Jan 31, 2005 9:46 pm

Most definitely. I've requalified on a number of occassions with just 12.5 and 15 sectors in the bank. I'm QPP5 but have only 100 sectors to my name.

Fimo, what I meant was: Did you requalify after nine months or after twelve months in years that you qualified using the 'averaging' method?

Mine has been reset after 9 months as well. My year is until the end of March and I had 40 segments 'this' year. Just looked at the account and it shows this year as 1.25 segments, which was BKK-SIN a couple of weeks ago.

Just a quick questions, never realised it till today.

I had 24.5 sectors on Nov, flew a 1.25 sector, upon reset my SC should be 0 or 0.75 ?

Thanks,

PN

Never mind, the extras count towards Solitaire and Lifetime Solitaire status; and also towards future averaging if needed (assuming this remains).

As Kiwi Flyer points out, you will enjoy all the long-term benefits of the 0.75 sector. You miss out on only one benefit: the short term one. Given the opportunity to qualify using the 'averaging' method, even the one short-term benefit would have been minor.

My current membership year ends this June. I was looking forward to an early reset sometime today but that hasn't happened yet. :(
I have more than the 25 sectors needed.

Kiwi Flyer Apr 1, 2005 4:08 am

Maybe it is only done for those a long way over 25 sectors? (I have already requalified for next year before even the start of my member year - wonder when the requalifying will be confirmed?)

BTW Saw a life solitaire the other day. I was expecting an amazing luggage tag but it didnt look much better than regular PPS tag.

Isn't it exactly the same as Solitaire plastic bag tag except that it says 'Life' instead?

My requalification time frame was June 2005. I was at 47.5 sectors and just checked the KF homepage. It has just been reset and am now QPP4. Looking forward to the vouchers. Anyone know how much I would be able to get? :) So I guess the 9 mth pass to see who has requalified early does hold true for me. Not sure if this is consistent across the board

My account is now reset as well. ^
:D :D :D
