Best way to break up a trip from Dallas to Singapore with a 23.5-ish hour layover?

Ok, then probably doing DFW-HKG-SIN could work, in fact you might even get a stopover in Hong Kong, with virtually no charge (only paying extra departure tax), depending on fare conditions, so you might not be necessarily restricted to 23 hours.

About to book!
I'm thinking about staying 2 nights in Hong Kong both inbound and outbound so I have 1 full day of explore time and chill time.
(though I bet this would mess up putting it on 1 ticket...)
What is your opinion on
1) What is your ideal location (& hotel) to stay in Hong Kong when visiting & Why?
2) Same as 1) but for a solo femalle traveler & first timer to Hong Kong & Why?
I typically spend 2xx - 4xx / night when vacationing depending on location. I feel for this situation location is critical since there will be so little time for transit.
When exploring cities, I tend to like hotel locations that are in the middle of "alive" locations at night. After a day of exploring I can take a nap and a shower and then just walk around in the evening without more taxi rides.
Ex: in Rome I stay

since it's a short walk to piazza navona at night with all the fountains, kids singing and artists painting.
