Difference of J & C class

I know that this might sound a little daft, but I've always wondered what the difference is between J & C class.
I know that both of these classes are business class but are there any difference in service, facilites etc...

Huh?

They're just booking classes.

SQ uses C booking codes.

Good question. Business class in general may have many booking codes (J,C,D,Z...). But whatever the code, you are in the business cabin with all the amenities coming your way!

As others have noted, they are the same class of service, but different fare buckets.

Confusingly; SQ use J class as deep discount business class (The same as LH, UA & NZ Z Class tickets); and C class for full fare business class.

Others (AA, BA, LX, KL, NW, VS) use J class as their booking code for full fare business class.

Regards,
Alex

AFAIK, SQ used to use "J" as their full fare business class. They are changing it to "C" to be aligned with other Star Alliance airlines. They are also changing "P" (First Class) to "F" for the same reason.
SQ uses "D" for discounted Business Class & RTW Business Class. I don't know they are using "J".

Thank you all for explaining to me. I've learned a lot on how airline operates and their codes.
