I had problems even buying C seats on SIN-MLE, the awards there are almost non existant on that route, fellow CO flyer belynch is currently in MLE and he was barely able to get SIN-MLE-SIN in Y.

Have booked 2 x C awards SIN-MLE-SIN 2 years in a row on SQ using UA miles. Last year was a last minute booking, this year booked 5 months out.

F to MLE? Maybe you checked a different route like MNL but ther has not been F to MLE since the A330 fly there.
Also the OP is using miles from another *A FFP - BD. And his observation is correct as for example F seats to CGK and MNL have vanished completely and in the past they were easy to get. Even C to CGK or BKK is tougher now with less seats then before for other *A FFPs. for KF members availability is better as it should and LH M&M also seems to have a leg up on other *A FFPs from time to time in scoring longhaul awards even on new 77Ws in C. |

If them compare, them should compare the same things !.. Especially the example of UA: if they actually probed alliance awards in premium classes (which is the best use of miles without any doubt, no matter what Ma&Pa cattle think WN can give them) and via UA's delicious call centre, then UA and SQ would have trailed the Glutaeus Maximus of this score. |
