Angry Lounge in CDG closed

The LH lounge in CDG was closed three days ago and will remain closed for one year. LH offers a 10 Euro voucher instead.

Otherwise: FUBAR as usual... Now CDG is on par with N'djamena...

Renovation of the Lufthansa lounges in Paris

Temporary closing of the lounges at Charles de Gaulle Airport

Departure Satellite 6 at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport will be renovated from February and closed completely. As part of the building measures, Lufthansa will modernize the Senator and the Frequent Traveller Lounge.

During the renovation period we shall offer you vouchers for snacks. And as a provisional solution, from early summer 2008 you can use the new Star Alliance Lounge which at present is still being built.

From end-2008 you can enjoy a Senator and a Business Lounge in a state-of-the-art design.

Not LH.com is the friend, but TGV... no more CDG for me...

and I wish the sentence would read: ...Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport will be renovated from February and demolished completely....

...and bring' em to justice.

This means: I will fly LX to CDG for easter holiday @:-)

The LX-lounge and a stopover at ZRH are much better than a 10 € - voucher on a loungeless CDG-terminal 1...

I experienced the 'enhancement' on departure from CDG... Enlighten me please, is LX using other facilities? But this still involves CDG...

LX departs from the AF terminal with access to AF lounges.

The CDG T1 lounges were in dire need of some improvement, so kudos to LH for finally doing something. However the SK lounge didn't improve dramtically when they went thru a similar refurb.

No, LX has even it's own lounge in Terminal 2.

The comments about this lounge are somewhat mixed, but on a sunday when it's not too full it's a pretty relaxing place.

And compared with the LH-lounge which is in the deep underground, there is daylight in the LX-lounge...

Oliver, thank you! yes, I know the AF lounges, hence my knowledge about services in N'Djamena... nothing to write home about either... In the future it's GVA and the TGV... Or I take my old plane from Annemasse and make it to LBG at FL 120 myself...

I see... then it must be OS who has access to the AF lounge.

Yes, as OS flies from Terminal T2D (Schengen area). LX flies from T2B, LH and most other *-partners from T1...
