TSA security wait times at UA hubs: EWR, IAD, ORD, IAH, DEN, SFO, LAX

New York-area airport (including EWR) have taken down their reporting of TSA wait times because of the variability of TSA staffing and passenger volume. Not sure if other airports have done the same. Starting this thread for people to report current TSA wait times at UA hubs so people know whether to go to the airport at a normal time or 4-5 hours before departure time!

I am specifically looking for EWR Terminal A wait times for a 3 pm flight. Thanks!

SFO isn't affected as they have a contractor providing TSA security. No staffing problems.

LAX has been empty to minimal lines. Assuming PreCheck. Non precheck doesn't seem to have more traffic than usual.

IAH has not taken down their wait times: https://www.fly2houston.com/iah/security/

Currently 2 hours at Term A and 1.5 hours at Term E. But in the afternoons each day this week I've seen 4-4.5 hours posted. LGA & EWR took theirs down so I imagine JFK did as well.

DEN is currently reporting sub 10 minute waits on their website (flydenver.com). This is partly due to the all-new security at the West and East checkpoints: How DIA keeps TSA security lines at 12 minutes as other airports see hours-long wait times(link may be gated - published 3/24)

EWR Terminal A at noon: 25 minutes (longer than usual, TSA Pre regular, touchless seemed as long or longer).

EWR has closed TSA precheck at Terminal A and I’m told by them C as well. Very long lines at A, possibly an hour or more wait. Thankfully ICE is here to stare at people and do nothing of any actual use so far as I can tell.

From a Co-Worker who has no pre-check or clear:

EWR Terminal A 16:54 entered line, through at 17:50 (For today 25MAR2026)

IAD from 03/24/2026 @ 5 PM: No wait at TSA Pre. For those of us who've earned our BIS flying to/from that airport, just let that sink in.

EWR Terminal C
25MAR26 620PM - 12min for Touchless ID Pre-check

Based on the monitors, I saw 42min wait time for the general line.

Saw the exact same thing back on 12 Mar. I think 5pm is a magic time. We had 2-3 people in line, and I wanted to do the touchless but the Ms didnt have it on her BP for that flight (?) and it wasnt worth the effort for the novelty of it...
IAD is quirky. Sometimes insane, and others I have walked down an empty C/D concourse
